There's no telling what you'll cook up in the eye-catching kitchen with modern appliances designed for people who like to cook and entertain at the same time. A warm and welcoming living room features a walk-out to a large deck - ideal for cozy evenings as well as a covered porch for cooler nights - also perfect for morning coffee, fresh country air, and enjoying the sounds of nature.

With 4 bedrooms plus a loft and 3 1/2 bathrooms, this newly constructed cottage presents little problem for accommodating families large or small up to 12-people. Accented with post & beam, cathedral ceilings, and a loft area overlooking the large sitting room with fireplace, there is room for everyone to find their own special place.

Salerno Lake is approximately a 2-hour drive from Toronto (Hwy 401 & Hwy 404) and is located 16km East of Kinmount which is about a short 10-minute drive away for groceries, LCBO store, the Highlands Cinema as well as other local attractions and amenities. The villages of Haliburton, Minden, Bobacaygeon, and Fenelon Falls are approximately a 20-to-30 minute scenic drive.

Hey Mike - Thanks we had a great week. Our families just loved the place! I hope we remembered to clean everything it was a bit of a hectic morning! Our lovely dog managed to get hot spots from spending an average of 6 hours per day in the lake!! The people at the Minden animal hospital were great and took care of her :) You have an amazing cottage and we loved spending time there. It made it so much easier having the items there for the boys as well (they loved all the toys!!) Thank you again!!

Hi Mike - Our families had a wonderful time at The Goofy Moose! We spent much of our time at the lake -- swimming, bouncing on splash island, fishing off the dock, riding on the pedal boat and kayaks and enjoying the view with a book and a cold drink. Indoors, we all played lots of card and board games and the kids watched movies, played video games and built forts in the loft. Hi Mike - We are back home and I just wanted to touch base. I trust that you found the cottage in good/excellent condition and, that everything was left as you wished. We had a fantastic time! The cottage was perfect as was the weather. The kids enjoyed catching snails, fishing and jumping time and time again from the dock. One afternoon they were especially pleased... The dragonflies were very friendly and would land on their hands over and over - it truly was amazing! The elders enjoyed reading by the lake and also jumping from the dock! Thanks Michael. We miss the Goofy Moose so much! Can't stop talking about it. An absolutely wonderful time was had by all from kids to teen to adults and even the dog Ceilidh! We recently rented The Goofy Moose with a group of friends that we work out with. We as a group were looking for a quiet lake, and a nice modern type cottage..and we found it at The Goofy Moose. The cottage was in perfect condition with all the amenities. The trees block the neighbouring cottages, so it is private in that sense. We spent most of our time on the dock enjoying the lake. The cottage is located at the end of the lake, so there was little to no water traffic. The cottage itself was big enough to hold our big group and everyone could sleep comfortably. I got an A+ for finding this perfect cottage. We would go back for sure.

Thanks very much for the use of your cottage. It was absolutely lovely. All the baby gear was a definite added bonus - that exersaucer was the bomb! The cottage is huge and easily accommodated all 11 of us. It was a big treat to everyone to stay at such a new and comfortable place. You have a great spot and all the kids lived in the lake the entire week. Our only complaint is those little black flies who seemed to love me best, but I guess that’s all a part going up north :) Take care, we will be definitely considering your cottage again next year and will recommend to our friends and family.
